I don't bake a lot during the year or make homemade candy.....BUT come December my kitchen becomes a full time sweet shop (or sweatshop if you ask the kids) as I prep for neighbor and friend gifts. I usually make caramels, chocolate pretzels, white chocolates, peppermint patties, various cookies, gingerbread, and fudge. I will admit that I have on occasion grabbed a cheap paper plate (not the cute holiday ones) and some plastic wrap to package these treats. But if I plan ahead enough, I try to package the treats in something cute. I found an amazing place for all things packaging! You are going to DIE at how cute all these fun things from Paper Mart are! I teamed up with them to give you a couple of examples, but you guys will want to look around because they have ANYTHING you could possibly want.
And in case you missed it, I made an advent calendar using items from Paper Mart and shared it yesterday.
These are some of my personal favorites. They have thousands and thousands of items in all sorts of colors.
I fell in love with the "wood box" section of their site. I saw these cylinder 3 packs and knew they would be perfect for cookies! They come unfinished.
I stained them inside and out using the color, Early American. I should have lightly sanded them before I stained. There were a couple of little spots where glue residue was left from the assembly and the stain didn't absorb in those spots as well. It wasn't super noticeable, but I should have sanded. I was just so excited to get started!
Once the stain was all the way dry, I used some stencils that I cut out of vinyl to add snowflakes to the top.
Aren't these perfect?! After you fill them with cookies, just add a card or tag and you are set :)
The cellophane sheets were so convenient! No unrolling and trying to cut evenly. Brilliant!
For the homemade chocolates and caramels, I decided to used these cute white tins. I cut out some deer heads out of black vinyl and put them on the top. You could add a sticker if you didn't have a way to cut vinyl.
A cute buffalo check ribbon and I am set! Super easy :)
Do you make goodies for your friends and neighbors? What are your favorite things to make?

Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration.
I love those cylinder boxes. Perfect for cookies. I also like your vinyl stencils. It seams like the vinyl would stick to the surface better than plastic. Thank you for your awesome wrapping creations!
