Usually I use the same nail holes and just switch out what is in the frames. I just filled in all the holes right before I decorated for Christmas because I wanted to change it up. But I had the same nail holes for 3 or 4 years before that. If it is something light weight, I have used that blue sticky putty stuff. It holds pretty well.
If you are worried about weight though, nails are the way to go.

I’m wondering how you avoid nail holes. I tried the removable Velcro in our bathroom and both small frames eventually fell off one falling in our cast iron tub chipping it. How are you anchoring your line holding photos? You decorating is lovely. The plum is a beautiful shade.

I love the contrast of all the greenery against the white and black. And your collection of houses on the mantel has me wanting some wood houses stat. So beautiful.
